Theresa Quiachon
Theresa is an expert in strategic consulting, stakeholder engagement and qualitative research.
“Growing up with a Filipino father in rural northern Germany, I quickly embraced the value of diversity. As a child, I learned to navigate the nuances of being different, developing resilience and empathy along the way.
Always a ‘people person,’ my path led me out into the world to gain insight and understanding through travel, with a particular interest in Southeast Asia. I was eager to learn about the lives of people in a variety of settings and to enrich my understanding of the world and its myriad complexities.
My professional journey began in the fast-paced world of H&M, where I qualified as a Bachelor Professional (CCI) of Trade and Commerce, cultivating skills in retail management and leadership. My working style focused on prioritizing collaboration and inclusivity over hierarchical structures.
After six years in the corporate world, I pursued a Master’s degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology to further broaden my horizons and deepen my understanding of societal dynamics. The critical lens of the discipline proved to be extremely eye-opening, particularly on issues of inequality that resonated deeply with my personal experiences and professional observations.”
Equipped with a broad skill set and a passion for social justice, Theresa found her calling at the intersection of business and human rights when she crossed paths with Lisa.
